Fact Sheet
Alpine Adventures offers guided snowmobile tours when the snow flies in Franconia Notch, on private land and the White Mountain National Forest with a 10 year special use permit.
Our fleet of snowmobiles consists of newer model 2-seat snowmobiles, many of which have the environmentally friendly 4-stroke engines.
The off-road Safari tours run throughout the year. Each 6x6 truck seats 11 passengers in bucket seats with lap belts. Our specially trained operators narrate the ride with local trivia and music, as they traverse our 300-acre hilltop on a unique off-road thrill ride.
The zipline canopy tours, the first in New England, with the highest and longest ziplines, consists of 2 separate courses, the Treetop tour and the Sky Rider tour.
All together the ziplines total 14, 2 of which are side by side, interspersed with multiple Indian Jones style bridges and platforms high in the trees.
Zipline tours run year-round, weather permitting, although weather rarely stops us from running tours and enjoying the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Reservations are highly recommended. On the zipline tours, participant weight is restricted to between 70 and 240 lbs.
Alpine Adventures inspects its zipline courses, trucks, and snowmobiles daily. Canopy Tours, Inc. inspects every aspect of the courses bi-annually.
Cables are ½" aircraft grade steel, attached to trees and poles that are guy-wired and cemented to the ground, "where they will turn into fossils in 3000 years," one engineer stated, attesting to its strength and durability.
Guides glide through the air using a pulley and climbing harness, conforming to ACCT standards for load capacity.
